More Dark Draft...

Here is something I was fiddling around w/ today...

Why do I stay in thick mud?
What's attractive about crippling, fear?
Lord, why do I keep coming back for more of this dark draft?

You've walked with me during the cool of day.
You've cleansed my heart, body, and mind with blood.
These memories burn with beauty.

Yet, why, why, why am I pulled under this bridge?
Does your truth not grow in me like a mighty vine...

Free Like the Moon

I'm done with my school work! Unlike my experience at Calvin, where I was often physically sick after exams, I feel joyful and ready for new adventure.

Last night, Jake and I walked to the Metro Link station from the computer lab. A shroud of clouds clung to the pale moon above us. When we reached the stop, the moon decided to free itself from its cloudy prison. How bright and free it looked, sailing the rich blue sky. I explained to Jake that the free moon represented his state, when all school work was complete.
