Missing Maggie
I just wrote Maggie an email. Sometimes I want to hop on a plane and zoom over to her neck of the woods. It's hard to imagine what her life is like from day today. I know a cow lives in her courtyard; she gets water once a day; she talks to people in a square by a Hindu temple; she has a great love for the mountains.
Here is something she wrote about one of her visits to the square I mentioned above. Passages like this give me a clearer picture of my dear twin’s Nepalese life.
"Just two days ago i was walking around Swyambough ( big temple i had been going around to lately. Its the temple i have described in my previous emails). I walk around this temple almost every day and pray and meet people. I tell people about Jesus, pray with beggars and the sick. Recently a couple of my Christian friends have gone around with me...and prayed with the people...i was feeling like God was urging me to go with others for more display of His power...(for His glory to be more largely seen). I had just hung out with this sick lady (Sita..just found out today she died) But praise God, he used me and others right before her death to take her to church, tell her about Jesus, put lotion on her arms, sing to her, pray with her, tell her everyone who calls on the name of Jesus will be saved (and buy her weird Nepali food that she favored hee hee)."
