What a painful note to close the series!

I wanted everyone to remember the pain and tragedy present in the world--that is why I ended on such painful note. The bruise is a symbol of everything horrible in the world. The photos above may seem picturesque and beauitiful but the reality is that pain will always be with us till we die...

Ha! Really, I thought the bruise looked kind of hard-core especially next to the photo of Jess in the shades. Sorry if I'm exploiting your pain N. :)

Ah, it is not painful any longer. The yellowing on the left indicates that is getting better. I have been enjoying showing it off. I feel a little like a senior citizen when I begin telling the story "Well, I fell in the shower...." But I was cleaning the shower and wearing sandals and stupidly tried to step out when both of my feet were on slippery surfaces, and, oh my, it did hurt then.

The birding trip was a lot of fun. Thanks for setting it up. I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow.

Who drew those Guinea Pigs... HILARIOUS!
Anyway, you should hear what they are really saying... let's just say...You'd be surprised.

Also, ok, that bruise is nasty dude.

hey, for the the moon is the spoon of the sea blog, can someone explain that to me?
Also, dassler, where did you come up with your name?
Hidden meaning *lifts one eyebrow, turning head to side*?

and I guess I must ask, why the guinea pigs? though I do Love them!

"The Moon is the Spoon of the Sea" refers to the way the moon controls the ocean’s tide. Here’s a link that explains it more in depth: http://home.hiwaay.net/~krcool/Astro/moon/moontides/ I like the idea of imagining the moon as a huge stir spoon (the round part of a spoon turned sideways looks like a quarter moon and the round part of a spoon facing forward looks like a full moon).. Now as far as WHY I chose my title, I just love natural bodies of water; oceans, lakes, rivers invigorate me!

Jennie, for an explanation go to the first blog post I wrote. In a nut shell, my sisters and I owned Guinea-Pigs growing up. At night, before bed, we pretended we were the Guinea-Pigs. These memories are some of the most wonderful memories I have growing up.

Good to see your blog up and running!
